Reporting to the Coordinator: Maintenance, you will be responsible for performing and planning high-quality maintenance, job scoping, repairs, and installations on all fixed plant processing equipment with a focus on improving reliability.
This position requires:
3 years minimum post-trade experience & previous leadership experience, leading a team of Maintenance tradesmen.FIXED PLANT experience required.Duties of the role:
Lead the day-to-day activities of the mechanical team inclusive of contractors in a cost-effective manner, assuring awareness of performance targets, access to the necessary tools to achieve these, and that their activities are aligned within company targets.Ensure the team is working safely and efficiently, complying with all policies, company procedures, and standards.Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills to focus the team's activities to achieve compliance with the maintenance schedule.Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment, and service providers.Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Mechanical team.Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with the implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training.Step into the supervisory role when required and assist the planners in job scoping, schedule development, and compliance.More about you:
Demonstrated leadership and performance development experience within a mining environment.Mechanical Trades certificate and Supervisory qualification.Short Term Planning Experience would be desirable.SAP knowledge would be highly regarded.Valid Driver's license.Ability to pass full medical drug and alcohol tests.Good communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.Safety is a core value; we expect all levels of employees to always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance for the company.
This role is offered on a 15 days on, 13 days off roster and is a Fly in Fly Out from Darwin, NT.
