Job Title: Clinical Systems Engineer
About the Role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering Services Department.
Key Responsibilities
* Seamlessly integrating data and images from diverse clinical IT systems into the region's EHR, TrakCare.
* Maintaining software systems that interface with medical equipment at SWH and across the SW region.
* Providing clinical support, security, and documentation for these systems.
Requirements
A degree in science or engineering, with a specialisation in biomedical engineering, medical IT, or a related field, is preferred. Alternatively, relevant certifications such as Cisco Network Certification may be considered in place of a formal degree.
A strong background in network IT, combined with experience in biomedical systems, is essential. Candidates should be familiar with industry standards such as AS/NZS 3551, AS/NZS 3003, IEC 60601, and ISO 14791.
At least 5 years of experience in a biomedical engineering or IT-focused healthcare environment is required, with a solid understanding of both network infrastructure and biomedical technologies.
