The Opportunity
Springfield Vista is a vibrant community nestled among beautifully landscaped gardens, setting a new standard in retirement living.
As our Chef Manager, you will lead your kitchen to success by providing exquisite catering and hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of residents.
You will enjoy connecting with residents, being extremely hands-on, and ensuring food safety principles are adhered to.
This role offers autonomy, allowing you to work independently in a kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for all kitchen and dining operations, preparing and cooking for lunch and dinner services
* Work closely with staff to deliver great service and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly
* Coordinate ideas for events and functions
* Monitor daily Food Safety checklists and adhere to OH&S policies
* Complete stock management, including ordering, rotation, and amendments
Requirements
* Experience working in a small kitchen as a Chef in a kitchen setting (e.g., retirement villages, aged care, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs, or pubs)
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
* Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
* Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering, and admin experience)
* Two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
