About the role If you could continue adding to your existing skills in a new industry, you'd probably give it some thought, wouldn't you? You'll be installing, testing, and performing routine maintenance (planned and unplanned) on a variety of pumps, valves, and piping across the plants that carry water to your home and homes around the region.
The variety of work will keep you busy and engaged. Whether you're working alone or with your supportive colleagues, using your fitting and machining skills and experience to operate a variety of machines including lathes, radial arm drills, and horizontal borers, you will help us tackle the complex problems that we encounter on our water and wastewater systems. This includes an 11.5% standard employer contribution, plus an additional 2% employer co-contribution that matches your own 2% contribution.Purchase additional leave of up to 12 weeks or work 4 years at a reduced salary and take the fifth year off as paid leave.What the role will involve Performing planned maintenance overhauls of all Mainline split case pumps.The manufacturing of replacement parts.Performing scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance and install components in water systems.Performing complex isolation and shutdown procedures.Carrying out maintenance tasks and problem-solving which requires application of knowledge of complex water systems.About you You'll have a Mechanical Trade Certificate and a W.A 'C' & MR Class driver's license for driving to remote sites. You'll also have High Risk Licences, such as LF, EWP, DG, or CV.
