More specifically, you are responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and Honours degree programs and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. You will also be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. You will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team. You may also be responsible for course coordination.Additionally, the Senior Lecturer role will involve:Course coordination and leading the design, development, and improvement of curriculumSignificant contribution to the delivery of programs and to be actively involved in research, scholarship and other professional activitiesDevelop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with internal and external partnersYou also may have responsibility for program managementAbout YouTo be successful for level B appointment, you will have:Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences courses and programs, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materialsDemonstrated knowledge of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: clinical research, ethics and governance, regulatory affairsDemonstrated ability to undertake course coordination roleDemonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learningEmerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areasCapacity to supervise higher degree by research candidatesAbility to build productive networks with colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaborationIn addition to the above, to be successful for level C appointment, you will have:Ability to coordinate large courses and implement innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvementCapacity to undertake academic leadership roles, including those related to program management and work-integrated learning/placementsDemonstrated ability to lead teams and projects to achieve outcomes in a timely mannerEmerging nationally recognized research track record including quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areasQualificationsMandatory for level B and C appointment:PhD or equivalent in a field relevant to Pharmaceutical SciencesNote: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check and other checks as required by the specific role.
