Our client is a Tier 1 mining company which operates on multiple sites across Australia and also internationally.
Your new role
The key duties for this role are:
* Responsible for the safety performance and safety management practices of Mine Maintenance and responsible for safety leadership across the department and MRM workforce.
* Accountable for the development and execution of maintenance strategies in accordance with long-term and short-term plans
* Accountable for mobile equipment performance and fixed infrastructure services for mining.
* Leads and drives the innovation and continuous improvement of the Mine Maintenance department.
* Responsible for leading the Maintenance department and establishing a group culture, including building employee capability to support strategic objectives
What you'll need to succeed
* Significant experience leading and developing maintenance teams and contracts in mining & resources in similar large-scale heavy equipment industries
* Extensive experience with forming integrated teams between Mine Maintenance, Mine Planning and Equipment OEMs to ensure all are focused on equipment & plant performance for all operations.
* Extensive knowledge in component LCM (Life Cycle Management). Able to track, investigate and develop maintenance-engineering solutions for all mine equipment fleets and fixed plant.
* Able to work with Mine Engineering groups to develop mechanical maintenance schedules that support mine development and expansion plans.
* Extensive experience with developing maintenance inspection and tracking processes to ensure cost-effective maintenance methods are utilised across all Mine Fleets.
* Able to develop and implement mining & maintenance schedules in conjunction with corporate management around technical, scheduling and cost issues, including peak availability, utilisation and productivity for all Mobile Equipment Fleets and Fixed Plant Mining equipment.
* Experienced in developing base reusability guidelines for re-using parts in components to reduce costs.
* Extensive knowledge of maintenance labour & repair contracts

* Must be based in Darwin or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is provided.
* Salary banding- $230k-$250K
* Allowances roster$12k, NT allowance payable on relocating $10k.
* 13% superannuation.
