This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients across various settings, including schools, homes, and clinical environments. You will work as part of a dynamic team, supporting clients in achieving their communication goals and improving their quality of life.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for clients of all ages.Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on client needs.Provide direct therapy and interventions for speech and language disorders, including voice, fluency, articulation, and language development.Work with clients on swallowing and feeding issues.Educate and support families and caregivers on strategies to promote speech and language development at home.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to provide holistic care.Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.Provide regular progress reports and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.Support clients with disabilities or special needs to improve communication and social interaction.Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in speech therapy.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent qualification).Full registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent (or ability to obtain).Proven experience in assessing and treating a wide range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Compassionate, patient, and client-focused approach to care.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Experience in pediatric and/or adult therapy is an advantage.Experience with telehealth service delivery (optional).A current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (for home visits if required).Preferred Qualifications:Postgraduate qualifications in a specialized area (e.g., pediatric speech therapy, dysphagia, etc.) are highly regarded.Experience working in a rural or remote area.Ability to work with Indigenous populations is desirable.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHealth Care ProviderIndustriesBusiness Consulting and Services
