The Barossa Vintage Festival is seeking to contract a Marketing and Communications person to support the delivery of the 2025 Vintage Festival Marketing Plan. The role will help raise the profile of the festival and support audience engagement which translates into attendance / ticket sales.
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will be required to undertake the following tasks in collaboration with the Vintage Festival Co-Directors:
* Develop and manage a variety of social media content.
* Manage social media accounts and online communities.
* Consolidate and organise existing and grow mailing Electronic Direct Mailing (EDM) list.
* Develop and deliver content for EDMs.
* Coordinate digital marketing campaigns
both paid and organic, including execution
and analysis Meta and Google campaigns.
* Support the development of print advertising
and general marketing collateral.
* Administer website changes and updates
as required.
* Other communications and marketing tasks
as required.
* Support to increase marketing reach and
grow audiences.
* Provide advice and support for Festival
stakeholders as required.

Knowledge and skills in successful digital marketing campaigns – both organic and paid.
• Professional social media account management skills for Facebook, Tik Tok and Instagram.
• Capacity to create high quality content which is suitable.
• Basic design skills and a capacity to think creatively. • High quality written and verbal communication skills
including copywriting and editing skills.
• An ability to work independently and take initiative. • Capacity to use a range of relevant of software and
hardware including MS Office Suite, Wordpress Content Management Platform Meta and Google advertising platforms and desktop and handheld digital devices.
• Skills in creating content suitable for use in a range of marketing and communications channels.
The role is a contractor role, for approximately 8 hours per week, for 25 weeks, which can flexibly and remotely with some expectation to be in the region as required. We are offering an hourly rate of $50 per hour and the role will report to the Festival Co-Directors. Payment will be paid monthly upon receipt of a tax invoice which includes an ABN.
