Seeking a passionate educator who is committed to helping young children grow in all kinds of ways to join St Luke's Long Day Care & Kindergarten!22nd January, 2025We are seeking to appoint a part-time Early Years Educator (Children’s Services Employee) at St Luke's Long Day Care and Kindergarten located in Capalaba. At St Luke's, we provide care for children from six weeks old, for up to a maximum of 78 children. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting children in their early years. You love helping them fulfill happiness through growing, development, and are committed to seeing them learn, all while having fun in a comfortable safe environment.Hours: Permanent Part-Time (minimum of 25 hours per week)Remuneration: Level 3.1 to Level 3.4, depending on qualifications and experience and as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.Key Responsibilities:Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.Participate in professional and personal development.Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.Job Requirements:Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or working towards) OR holds an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA.Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months - Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment.Experience working with children with additional needs would be a bonus.Effective workplace communication skills.The Benefits:A competitive hourly rate depending on qualifications and experience.Ability to create professional relationships within the school and wider community.Access to Employee Assistance Program.A supportive management team who work together collaboratively to ensure the best quality of care for children.Our Commitment to Keeping our Staff and Children Safe:The Archdiocese of Brisbane has standards of conduct for employees and volunteers to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
