Key duties and responsibilitiesThe buyer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICT professional who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and technical architecture of the agency’s ICT systems and initiatives. The Enterprise Architect will be crucial in aligning our ICT infrastructure with organizational goals and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions across all facets of buyer operations.Key responsibilities:Architecture development: work with a team on the development and maintenance of comprehensive enterprise architecture models that encompass data, information, cyber and technology domains. Define standards, guidelines and best practices for architecture design and implementation.Architecture frameworks: Tailor an established architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) in a pragmatic manner to suit the needs of the agency.Governance and compliance: Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with whole-of-government requirements and internal policies.Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, and ICT teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.Team leadership and development: Lead a team of architects, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.Vendor management: Evaluate and select technology vendors and solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and strategic goals. Manage vendor relationships to ensure delivery of high-quality services and solutions.Change management: Drive change management initiatives related to enterprise architecture, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with enterprise architecture decisions and implementations. Develop contingency plans and strategies to address potential issues proactively.Qualifications, skills and experience:EssentialEducation: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote architecture principles and practices.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in ICT, with at least 5 years in a senior role covering multiple disciplines such as Data, Cyber and Information Management.Analytical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical and business requirements and translate them into effective architecture solutions.DesirableExperience in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable.Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Excellent stakeholder management skills (across all levels of the organisation).High attention to detail, aptitude to manage and prioritise tasks.For a confidential discussion, please contact Pri Gillett or Aparna on aparna.sharma@peoplebank.com.au quoting reference 265734.
