This initiative focuses on fostering organisational capability, ensuring ethical AI use, and positioning the University at the forefront of AI-enabled education research and operations.As the Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering the engagement, communications, and training strategy for this initiative.
Your work will drive awareness, build capability, and ensure clear, consistent messaging around the responsible use of AI.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate communication efforts, and lead training initiatives to support the University's AI adoption objectives.Your key responsibilities will be to:Develop and implement a strategic engagement, communications, and training program to prepare leaders, professional staff, and researchers for the responsible and effective use of generative AI.Design and execute communication strategies across multiple channels, ensuring clear, consistent messaging about AI use.Work collaboratively with the University's Marketing and Communications teams to align efforts with organisational strategy and branding.Lead AI capacity-building initiatives, including structured learning programs, workshops, and training plans.Develop and curate a suite of resources and online content to support staff in using AI safely and effectively.Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication and training initiatives, refining strategies as needed.About youProven ability to develop and implement strategic communication and engagement initiatives in a complex organisation.Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse groups.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in creating clear, compelling content.Experience in managing digital communication channels, including websites, social media, and internal platforms.Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Background in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field, with relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.If you're passionate about driving responsible AI adoption and have a background in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, or digital transformation, we'd love to hear from you.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
