About Legal Aid NT:
Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory authority that ensures individuals in the Northern Territory understand their legal rights and provides quality legal services to disadvantaged people, maintaining a fair justice system.
The Position:
The Director is appointed by the Attorney-General to provide efficient leadership of Legal Aid NT, supporting staff development and delivering territory-wide services responsive to clients' needs.
The role builds partnerships to respond to clients' legal and non-legal needs, providing policy advice to both the Legal Aid Board and the Attorney General. As the head of the Executive Team, the Director leads strategy development and service delivery planning to ensure high-quality services.
Legal Aid NT has offices across the Territory, attending courts as required. The position's conditions of employment are similar to those in the Northern Territory Public Service.
Salary: Estimated Annual Salary $178,418 - $198,561
