SANBRADO GOLD OPERATION
The Company owns and operates the Sanbrado Gold Operation (Sanbrado) in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The project is located about 90km east-southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso and encompasses both underground and open pit mining operations.
The underground mine is accessed through a box-cut and portal immediately southwest of the M1 South open pit. The mines are all within 1-2km of the plant which is a conventional SABC milling circuit, gravity and carbon in leach processing with a nominal throughput capacity of 2.5Mtpa.
Sanbrado is on track to produce 190,000-210,000oz at Sanbrado in 2024 at AISC of In addition to the current underground and open pit operations, we are focused on preparing for the underground development beneath the existing M5 South pit operations and development at Toega.
KIAKA GOLD PROJECT
The Kiaka Gold Project is large-scale, permitted development open pit project and hosts 7.7Moz gold Mineral Resource (280Mt at 0.9 g/t Au). Kiaka has a long-life, low-cost project averaging 219,000ozpa for 18.5 years at AISC of US$1,052/oz.
Construction at Kiaka is well underway, including the processing mills, camp, building infrastructure, civil works, community projects and operational readiness activities. First gold is scheduled for mid-2025.
OUR ROLE
We are seeking to employ an experienced Gold Processing Manager to join our Sanbrado Gold Operations team.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced processing/metallurgy professional who has excellent technical knowledge, recent experience managing gold processing operations, and a history of mentoring the transfer of skills and knowledge with their team.
Functions and accountabilities will include:
* Manage and lead the effective and safe operation of the processing plant including metallurgical services and associated infrastructure.
* Manage plant availability and performance to achieve operational and cost targets.
* Overall accountability for safety, personnel, environmental, metallurgical and plant performance.
* Management of processing and infrastructure-related supply and service contracts.
* Initiate and manage capital projects.
* Manage process-related reporting and reliability systems.
* Tailings storage facility management.
* Processing risk register and risk reduction programs.
Essential to the role will be an effective working relationship with the Fixed Plant Maintenance team to ensure that general maintenance and shutdowns are planned and executed to optimise production and plant availability.
Applications are sought from senior Process Engineering professionals who have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering or similar.
* Recent employment history managing gold processing operations.
* A demonstrated employment history working as part of successful processing operations in which production, reliability, metallurgy testing, cost targets and safe working practices are achieved.
* The ability to perform, mentor and deliver high professional and technical standards.
* A well-planned and executed strategy that supports training and development of skills to build a high-performing team.
* A strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards in the mining industry.
* TSF management, including understanding and application of Global Industry Standards on Tailings Management.
* A genuine commitment to the promotion of a safe working culture and practices.
* Management of processing contracts and contractors.
* Oversee the planning and completion of projects.
