About the role
Navitas Skilled Futures is seeking its next SEE Participant Support Officer in a newly created role to support learners in the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, in maintaining their engagement in training and goal achievements. This role is suited for a candidate with working knowledge of various government programs that support settlement services and the VET sector, including SEE providers and other services in the region
The role’s responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring consistent delivery of services by positively shaping participants' first impressions, coordinating with Site Leads and training staff to determine the best pathway options for clients, and providing timely assessments on progress against goals.
* Liaising with stakeholders, including employment service providers and community organizations, supporting relationships with external bodies, and facilitating work experience placements and referrals.
* Providing comprehensive pathways advice through conducting program interviews, completing pathway guides, leading orientation, and offering high-quality employment, vocational, and educational guidance.
* Enhancing participant support by referring learners to appropriate services as required, maintaining up-to-date resources, working with Team/Site Leaders, and organizing information sessions and workshops.
* Ensuring accurate and timely assessment information and maintaining detailed participant records.
* Complying with privacy regulations and securely managing participant information.
The person we seek will ideally have the following:
* Knowledge of issues that impact learning and sustainable employment outcomes.
* Relevant experience/knowledge in using technology, including a variety of career development-related tools, email, Microsoft Word, internet and databases
* Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural learning environment
