About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced back-end construction Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join one of the largest and busiest Construction, Infrastructure and Projects teams in the State.
You will assist clients in the context of varied and large-scale projects over a range of sectors including transport and social infrastructure, renewables, commercial, and industrial working for a mix of project owners (including government), major contractors and engineering companies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage disputes during and after the delivery of projects, including in the context of adjudications and expert determinations
* Act in high-value and complex litigation and arbitration
* Prepare advices, draft legal submissions for adjudications and expert determinations and have day-to-day conduct of litigious matters
Job Requirements:
* Extensive back-end construction experience with advanced knowledge of the sector
* Ability to analyse and solve complex legal issues
* Excellent technical and strategic skills and a keen eye for detail
* Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines within a fluid work environment while meeting client expectations
