This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all technology-related initiatives within the school, ensuring that they align with the school's educational goals and objectives.
The Head of Technology is responsible for leading a team of technology professionals, managing budgets, and staying current with emerging technology trends to drive innovation and enhance the educational experience across subjects such as systems engineering, food technology, design and technology (woodwork and plastic), and product design textiles.
This position will contribute to teaching subjects in STEM disciplines or Mathematics from Year 7 to 12. Commencing Term 1, 2025, the Head of Department - Technology will report to the Deputy Principal and will be appointed on a 3-year fixed-term position as Head of Department with an underlying ongoing teaching role.
The successful leader will: Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum frameworks which fosters technological literacy, innovative thinking, and scientific inquiry preparing students to excel in a rapidly evolving technology-driven world.Ensure that curriculum and assessment are developed, monitored, implemented and evaluated in line with the Schools pedagogical model and assessment policy and procedures.Ensure the delivery of the school's pedagogical model to the highest standard.Support teaching staff in the implementation of curriculum frameworks that cater to diverse learning needs and pathways.Monitor reporting processes to ensure they are administered in a timely manner and to a high standard.The successful applicant will: Have appropriate qualification and registrations as a teacher.Proven experience in an educational leadership role either formal or informal, with a track record of excellent teaching.Strong understanding of educational research around the science of learning and explicit instruction and willingness to continue to improve their own teaching practice.How to Apply For a confidential discussion, enquiries about the application process, or to request a Candidate Information Pack, which includes Key Selection Criteria, please contact.
