Due to substantial growth of the QinetiQ business, QinetiQ’s IT organisation is evolving to provide the technology and IT services that will underpin QinetiQ’s future global strategy and ambitions. As such, we are excited to announce we are now accepting applications for an energetic IT Support Officer, with a can do attitude, to join our Client Services team based in Nowra, NSW.
As part of QinetiQ’s IT group, you will focus on providing 1st, 2nd and where capable 3rd level technical IT support to QinetiQ staff.
As an IT Support Officer, you will be accountable for:
1. Troubleshooting and resolving assigned incidents or service requests whilst ensuring prompt professional service
2. Undertaking day-to-day administrative duties such as, Account management; File & Print Services Management; Client setup, configuration and support; Installation, configuration and support of corporate and enterprise wide support tools, systems, applications and technologies; Maintain appropriate registers for the management of ICT assets; and Stock management, etc.
3. Maintaining, updating and creating operational, support, knowledge base and end user documentation
4. Working, communicating and cross-skilling with other members of the Client Services team and where appropriate with the greater QinetiQ IT group
5. Actively participating in regular operational meetings
To be successful in the role of IT Support Officer you will need to bring with you:
6. Experience is a similar IT Support/Administrator role
7. Strong focus and commitment to customer service
8. Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
9. Excellent problem solving skills
10. Good all-round IT technical skills with a working knowledge of technologies such as, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10/11 and basic Networking Fundamentals
11. Be self-motivated with an ability to work independently
12. Knowledge and understanding of ITIL principles, would be advantageous
Whilst not essential, a tertiary qualification in computer science or information technology would be advantageous.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
