Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site: )Metropolitan Region; Program Delivery & Operations; Infrastructure Management and Delivery; Nathan In the role of Principal Engineer (Civil) within Metropolitan Region's Regional Delivery team in Brisbane, you will perform the functions of Project Manager & Principal's Representative's Delegate for transport infrastructure project/program in the development/implementation/finalisation phases. You will be required to manage the delivery of transport infrastructure projects/program, ensuring the project commitments are met by providing effective leadership & direction to a project team which may consist of external design consultants, external contract administration team, TMR inspector, environmental officer, and safety officer. About the role: This role will be involved in a range of tasks, which include: Manage all operational aspects of project and program delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of funding, systems, and processes involved with all phases of the project/program management. Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and actions for the design, maintenance, and construction of transport infrastructure projects/program. Manage and coordinate contract performance and design, construction, and maintenance practices by ensuring that efficient procedures are implemented, and best practice is achieved. Skills and experience: • A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmark.• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.• Current holder of Class C driver's license. Have great awareness of issues affecting the maintenance and operation of road infrastructure and how these factors contribute to the design and construction of new build and rehabilitation schemes.
