Role Overview:
The HSEQ Manager provides specialized Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) advisory services, system management, and reporting to the team across the Oceania region. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with legislative and commercial certification requirements, supporting the company’s commitment to safety, and ensuring consistent system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate activities to ensure HSEQ management systems comply with legislative and certification standards.
* Maintain key registers, including inspection, training, corrective actions, and change management.
* Document incidents and events, triaging and escalating key issues as per procedural guidelines.
* Offer technical support and training to safety champions and project teams.
* Coordinate and document business continuity initiatives.
* Compile HSEQ data and prepare monthly reports.
* Organize regional audit activities, including scheduling, completion, and outcome documentation.
* Provide HSEQ guidance on using the Safety & Compliance SharePoint site.
* Manage injury cases and coordinate return-to-work programs.
* Support the Safety & Compliance and HR teams in implementing new processes, forms, and tools.
* Communicate updates to HSEQ management systems and draft safety alerts.
* Lead HSEQ investigative processes and facilitate monthly safety meetings.
Role Requirements:
Knowledge:
* Solid understanding of HSEQ management systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Power BI, and MS Teams.
Education:
* Minimum Certificate IV in WHS Management.
* Certificate IV TAE (desirable).
Skills and Competencies:
* Minimum of five years’ experience in HSEQ systems and operations.
* Experience with internal audits.
* Experience in one or more relevant industries (electronic security, construction, ICT), with high-risk industry experience preferred.
* ICAM experience is desirable
Certifications/Licenses:
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (may be subject to background checks).
* Membership of AIHS (desirable but not essential).
