With a minimum of two years’ accounting experience, your strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills will ensure the orderly day-to-day management of Believe Early Learning’s services and head office finances.Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will be supported in your career development as you contribute to the growth and expansion of Believe Early Learning.What We Offer:Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Convenient South Melbourne office location with premium amenities including weekly Free Breakfast Club, and gym and fitness facilities.What We're Looking For:An experienced Finance Manager who will actively support the accounting needs for Believe Early Learning’s expansion of new services.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.Ability to work and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.Dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.What You'll Do:Assist the Childcare Service Managers with occupancy projections and enrolment procedures.Process system enhancements for reporting and accurate transfer interfaces from in-house systems with the ATO, Centrelink, ABS, and other agencies.Obtain, review and verify payroll data with a detailed understanding of Australian payroll practices, awards, and the Fair Work Act.Assist in preparing profit and loss statements (P&L) for the various entities within the childcare organisation.Ensure salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per our award, employment contracts, and other legislative requirements.Assist in and resolve payroll queries from our staff.Report directly to the two business partners.Support accounts for other various entities.Support setup and financial reporting for forward and cash flow projections for the expansion of Believe Early Learning services.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure compliance with accounting standards.Build strong relationships internally with team members and externally with stakeholders.Requirements:Accounting Degree from an Australian institution.Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in accounting.Knowledge & understanding of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) System.Experience in the childcare industry and Xplor Childcare CRM software.Understanding of Childcare Awards and Agreement interpretation.Proficient in MS365 Office suite.Experience with processing payroll accurately and on time.Experience with financial reporting.Xero.MYOB and other childcare software programs will be an advantage.If you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a positive impact, apply now to join our team as a Finance and Accounts Manager.Send your resume and cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and why you're the perfect fit for this role.
