The town of Woorabinda is situated on the traditional lands of the Wadja Wadja and Gungaloo Aboriginal people and is a designated Aboriginal Shire Council Community located in Central Queensland, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse (Community) practices autonomously providing direct care to clients of this rural/remote, indigenous community health care setting. The nurse works within the multidisciplinary Community Health Team of the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service and is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of health program activities in one of four main health program areas: Chronic Disease; Women and Child Health; Community and Public Health; Community Home Support Program (CHSP).
About you:
Provides care that is holistic, free of bias and racism, challenges belief based upon assumption and is culturally safe and respectful for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People.Practices at an advanced level to provide high level clinical services (which may include, screening, assessment, treatment, examination, investigation, diagnosis, and case management) of individual clients of the Woorabinda Community Health Team in accordance with relevant professional and ethical standards and established clinical protocols.Support the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Primary Health Care Programs (Program Area to be specified).Understands and acknowledges the historic factors, such as colonisation and its impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' health, which help to inform care.What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $10,992 is comprised of:
