Our client is a leading asset management group with a strong presence in the commercial property sector. They specialize in managing high-quality assets, ensuring compliance and driving operational efficiency.
The Role
As a Lease & Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating lease renewals, critical dates, rent reviews and compliance requirements across a commercial property portfolio. You will work closely with the asset management team to ensure seamless lease administration, financial accuracy and adherence to industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage lease renewals, rent reviews and lease compliance processes.
2. Maintain and update lease and compliance trackers, ensuring all data is current.
3. Review and manage lease agreements, Heads of Agreement and executed lease documentation.
4. Oversee property compliance registers, including fire safety, asbestos, risk management and insurance.
5. Support financial processes, including coding invoices, tenant chargebacks and EOM reconciliations.
6. Liaise with tenants, solicitors and internal teams to ensure compliance with lease obligations.
7. Assist in the setup of new buildings and property handovers.
8. Review and audit lease agreements against internal property management systems.
9. Provide guidance to asset managers on lease negotiations, market reviews and rental arrears.
Requirements
1. Minimum 2 years of commercial asset management experience in the real estate industry.
2. Strong knowledge of lease administration, compliance and property regulations.
3. Experience with Adept Property Management Software (preferred but not essential).
4. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and industry-specific software.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
6. Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with tenants, landlords and external stakeholders.
7. A proactive and collaborative team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
