Job Description We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Power Tools team as an Area Sales Manager. The role will be a home office-based position covering the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane North and includes the Cairns/Townsville regions. Due to the level of local and regional travel required, the role includes the use of a Tool of Trade vehicle.

Position Responsibilities will include: Developing, maintaining, and executing territory plans to achieve sales and profit targets, and expand market share. Consistent planning and relationship management of a customer base. Developing new business opportunities. Presenting and promoting product releases and promotional activities to build brand awareness. Providing training on all products within the range internally and externally to all stakeholders. Providing general feedback on market trends, activities, and competitor information. Providing accurate sales forecasts and developing initiatives to close gaps or optimize new opportunities. Attendance at trade events, new store openings, and scheduled training. Qualifications We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, and establish effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
You should be able to demonstrate the following: Proven sales experience and success is essential. Planning, negotiation, and presentation skills. The ability to uphold and execute all sales excellence processes and standards. Power tools/hardware/trade experience is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience in training and demonstrating the product range to all stakeholders. A high level of market, competitor, and product knowledge. A strong level of business acumen is highly regarded. Experience using CRM programs. Web-based reporting using Tableau or similar reporting tools. Proficient in MS Office and MS Teams. High attention to detail and self-discipline. Exposure to the Construction industry is advantageous. Availability for regular state-based travel and occasional interstate travel.
