Job Description
We are looking for a Psychologist (Provisional or Registered), Rehabilitation Counsellor or Social Worker to join our successful Workplace Rehabilitation team based in beautiful Cairns!
Working with people who have sustained a psychological or physical injury, you will be responsible for delivering holistic, client centred services; assessing clients' needs, then developing and implementing strategies to enable a safe return to their original employment as part of their rehabilitation.
Enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure.
Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.
Qualifications
Our new team member will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Social Work
Full or Provisional Registration with AHPRA, Full Membership with ASORC or Full Membership (or eligibility to obtain) with AASW
A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits
Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships
Excellent time management skills - be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
Energy and drive to grow our services
A current driver licence and access to their own vehicle
