The Role: We are looking for a seasoned Chef de Partie to join our team at Bunurong Memorial Park.
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Chef de Partie is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining high food production standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace health regulations.
This role requires leadership skills to delegate tasks, and work collaboratively with the Front of House team.
In this role you will: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and adherence to SMCT policies and procedures.
Delegate tasks effectively to kitchen staff.
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained.
Conduct shift handovers, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication.
Manage stock levels, oversee inventory control, and minimise wastage.
Maintain and enforce compliance with the Food Safety Plan and HACCP Management System.
Ensure all team members adhere to Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
Monitor and update digital reporting platforms for incidents and compliance records.
Uphold professional grooming and presentation standards as per SMCT guidelines.
Support a positive and cooperative work environment while embodying SMCT's Vision and Values.
Your Profile: Commercial cooking certification and at least 2 years' team management experience in hospitality.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, health codes, and workplace safety regulations.
Strong time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage corporate catering events end-to-end.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.
Understanding of Safe Food Handling, and relevant industry regulations.
Willingness to work weekends if required.
