Hotel Brand: InterContinentalLocation: Australia, New South Wales, SydneyHotel: Sydney (SYDHA), 16 Phillip Street, 2000Are you an experienced Executive Sous Chef, Head Chef, or experienced CDC looking to showcase your creative culinary and inspiring leadership skills within a large scale, high-end luxury hotel environment?We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified senior chef to lead our Culinary team at InterContinental Sydney.We are a luxury hotel delivering exquisite dining experiences across our restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and events.Reporting to the Executive Chef, you are responsible for the overall delivery of the culinary division's objectives by providing operational direction, support, and guidance to a team of talented Chefs.Your Day to DayBe responsible for maintaining and delivering world-class food quality standards.Oversee department planning and rostering to ensure budgeted productivity and financial targets are achieved.Coordinate culinary team resources, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient execution of the culinary program across the hotel.Drive continuous efficiency and productivity improvement.Inspire, motivate, mentor, and develop the culinary team.Adhere to HACCP, Food Safety, and WHS policies.Manage waste and minimize cost control.Collaborate closely with hotel teams across all dining venues and events to deliver a world-class culinary experience.About YouTrade qualified with experience at Sous Chef, CDC, or Head Chef level.Must have previous experience in a premium venue, luxury hotel, or similar high-end environment.Experience in a professional commercial kitchen with a passion for culinary arts.Strong understanding of HACCP, Food Safety, WHS, and QA.Proven experience working with and achieving brand standards at luxury or similar level.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time and interpersonal management skills.Experience in managing a large cross-functional team and developing an inspired, engaged culinary team.Full Australian working rights are required.Your culinary passion and creativity will flow through into your presentation and your team delivering a fantastic culinary experience for our guests.This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about delivering unique dining experiences boasting fine local produce, handled with contemporary flair.We are proud to be InterContinental Sydney and proud to be IHG, and we know you will be too.
