Business Analyst Manager (Finance) - Insurance Company Overview

This position will report directly to the CFO and work with a high-performing finance team, as well as multiple stakeholders including IT, the technical department, and actuaries.

The Role
As Business Analyst Manager (Finance), you will report to and act as the right-hand person to the CFO.
You will support him, being trained by him, in duties covering a mix of building reports, dashboards, analysis, project work, and stakeholder management to ensure the successful evolution of the function.
Your duties will change and evolve due to the company's high growth, including:
* Business partnering with the wider finance and IT teams
* Implementing/evolving financial reports that support technical accounting, management reporting, and forecasting models
* Supporting the implementation of new IT solutions for technical reporting, including business validation
* Delivering precise and timely financial analysis and reports to aid in decision-making
* Data manipulation and analysis using Python, SQL, SAS
* Tracking and overseeing financial risks and opportunities associated with the IT transformation
* Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards
Requirements
To be considered for this Business Analyst Manager (Finance) role, you must meet the following criteria:
* Have experience within the Insurance industry
* Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, and SAS for data manipulation and analysis
* PowerBi and Qlik experience highly regarded (not a pre-requisite)
* Ability to understand financial workflows and financial models and analyse variances
* 'Can-do' attitude and ability to take on a project-flavoured role coupled with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders
