About the role You will assist line management in the accountability for health and safety risk assessments, event investigation, field leadership, and compliance with important health and safety requirements. We are currently seeking a professional and experienced safety and training advisor to join our wonderful administration team. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional safety and training guidance to our field, workshop, and administration teams. In addition, the right candidate will be required to travel to other states for inspections and audits as needed. Some of the tasks required for this position Develop, implement, and promote compliance with the company's ESHMS, Asset Management, and QMS. Promote ongoing awareness and compliance with all policies and procedures through personal leadership, regular communication, training, and audits. Prepare project level ESH documentation and statistical records and reports as applicable. Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure company compliance with current policies and procedures and continual improvement opportunities are identified & communicated. Communicate to all J&S staff any failing/delays/inadequate or incomplete data supplied/collated to meet ESH systems & ISO accreditation system standards and requirements. Conduct, coordinate, and communicate all facets of ESH requirements, including risk assessments, meetings, and standards. What we're looking for At least a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Tertiary qualification or equivalent in health and safety or a related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels in safety. Coaching and mentoring skills with a genuine desire to help people achieve solid outcomes and support continuous improvement. Develop and lead safety improvement initiatives that support the desired WHS culture while complying with relevant legislation requirements. Proficiency in IT, including online 3rd party systems, Office 365 Applications, Integrated Management Systems, IVMS, Chemalert and DropBox. Australian Drivers licence. Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card). Proven experience in leading incident investigations. Must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance. Be able to pass a Full Medical + Fitness. Desirable Cert IV Training and Assessing (preferred). High Risk Licence (preferred). Maintaining the management system to ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, 45001 OHS, & 55001 Asset Management certification. ISO certification in WHS, quality, environment, and asset management.
