Your new company
Our client, a local government organisation based in the Darwin area, is recruiting a Civil Projects Officer to work on various Civil infrastructure projects including new subdivision developments and roads upgrade and construction.
Your new role
You will be responsible for assisting the Projects team in the planning, development, and management of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered according to quality, budget, and time requirements. This is a full-time temporary role with an initial duration of 2 months and a potential extension.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Assist in the development and implementation of the Capital Works' program.
* Provide technical support for projects delivery.
* Process permit applications for construction works.
* Monitor and report on the project costs, productivity, progress, and quality.
* Assist with the project administration and management: review of contracts, construction estimates, schedule of quantities, document control.
* Liaise with project stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary or Diploma level qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a Junior or Graduate Civil Engineer role in Australia.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian road construction and maintenance standards.
* Understanding of NT Subdivision development guidelines.
* Demonstrated skills in project and contract management.
* Strong organisational, communication and computer literacy skills.
