We have an exciting position available to join our Digital Platforms team, as Product Owner – Cloud (Operations) focused on the AWS platform. Step into a pivotal role where your experience and leadership will shape the future of our university’s digital landscape.
As the Product Owner – Cloud (Operations), you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering cloud-based products and services to support the University's core infrastructure. In this role, you will lead a high performing team of Systems Engineers and oversee technical services, focusing on enhancing the University's cloud operating model to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient digital platform operations.
We are looking for someone with:
o Experience as an Operations Manager, Product Owner or Cloud Operations Lead in ICT, supported by relevant qualifications in IT, Business Management, or a related field.
o Cloud Expertise : Advanced knowledge of cloud environments, specifically AWS, Microsoft Azure, and ServiceNow .
o Certifications : Recognised Agile or SAFe certification and relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred.
o Project Leadership and Team Management : Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams within Agile frameworks, coordinating sprints, and aligning project deliverables to business needs.
o Customer Focus : Track record in driving client-focused digital solutions, with experience managing and evolving cloud products to improve user satisfaction.
o Technical Acumen : Proficiency in configuration management, cloud cost optimization, and using monitoring tools for performance insights (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
o Strategic Communication and Stakeholder Management : Ability to liaise across various technical and business stakeholders, translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable goals.
Work Requirements:
o As this is a permanent role, you will require permanent working rights in Australia.
o Must be based in Perth, WA or have confirmed plans to relocate. Relocation and sponsorship support is not available.
