What You'll be Doing The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional and high quality administrative support to the Director/Manager and other staff members within the team including the project officer and research staff. The Research Administrative Officer has the overall day to day management responsibility in supporting the research unit and is responsible for the implementation of administrative processes necessary for smooth running of the office, Importantly this position will act as a first point of contact for senior members of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, universities, plus a range of contacts at all levels from all research stakeholders and hospital staff liaising with the medical team. The Research Administrative Officer is required to assist in the development of effective and efficient administrative systems that will be necessary as the research unit grows. Completion of a Certificate IV level qualification or a combination of relevant education/training and/or extensive experience in a similar role. Demonstrated high level experience in the use of all Microsoft Office software with excellent data entry and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in office management and administration skills. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks within tight timeframes. Demonstrated high level written communication skills, preferably with previous experience in the preparation of research grant applications or other complex documents. High level of verbal communication skills at various levels. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement with regard to the release of information on confidential matters. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision.
