Applicants suitable for the role but not offered the position for the current vacancy may be placed in a merit list or pool. If the applicant agrees, the results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies for filling similar roles. Applicants may be offered a future role, without the need to reapply. A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.
This merit list or pool may be used to fill other vacancies anywhere in Australia.

What you’ll do
As a graduate employee, you will be part of a structured program over 12 to 24 months, that gives you hands-on experience and formal development opportunities tailored to build your skills. Are you eligible?
The positions are available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander graduates who have completed an undergraduate degree (Australian Qualification Framework Level 7) or higher.
To be eligible, you must:
* Be an Australian citizen.
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to provide proof of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage at the end of the recruitment process.
* Have completed, at minimum, a three (3)-year undergraduate degree at an AQF level 7 or above between January 2021 and December 2025.
* Be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, with the level of clearance specific in your offer of employment.

Be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The level of your security clearance will be determined by your participating department or agency.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Hold a minimum three (3) year bachelor’s degree (Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7) that:
* is issued or recognised within Australia
* was completed between January 2021 and December 2025.
A Certificate (AQF1-4), Diploma (AQF5) or other non-tertiary qualification does not meet the qualification requirement.
This vacancy has been nominated for filling within the Agencies Graduate program. A graduate program is a structured, on-the-job program, designed to introduce graduates to an APS organisation. They receive training and development, mentoring and on-the-job support.
