The Queensland State Valuation Service (SVS) Branch stands as a cornerstone of property assessment excellence, delivering accurate and equitable statutory land valuations within the relevant legislation. The SVS plays a critical role in the property market, providing transparent and timely valuations which may be used as an input for state and local government revenue, and land management purposes. The valuations also underpin the sustainable planning and development of Queensland's communities. SVS operates with integrity, ensuring accurate valuations while also catering to the specific valuation needs for a diverse range of clients and assets.
About The Role
The role is required to travel across and reside through Western Queensland to deliver the valuations program, this is a great opportunity to explore the picturesque outback and rural communities of Western Queensland.
As a Graduate Valuer you will be involved in assisting registered valuers. These valuers will provide you great training and mentoring and will help you understand the property market throughout our State.
Under supervision, show initiative in undertaking an individual commitment in providing rural valuations for statutory, state land administration and client and asset purposes and assist with the resolution of statutory grievances related to valuation activities.
What We're Looking For
* Applicants must have completed a degree from a recognised tertiary institution that is recognised by the Valuers Registration Board as being suitable for registration as a Valuer in Queensland.
* Travel away from the home centre will be required. This will involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods, relevant expenses will be covered by the department.
* A proactive learning mindset, keen to develop and refine valuation skills.
* Strong work ethics and a commitment to quality and excellence.
* A determined spirit, aiming to be the best in the field of rural valuations.
* Must reside in regional Queensland.
