Food Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced chef to lead our high volume kitchen as a Food Service Manager. In this role, you will manage a small team of chefs and a large team of kitchen hands, both paid and volunteer.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the whole kitchen, ensuring efficient meal preparation processes and compliance with standards and legislations.
* Drive improvements in kitchen efficiency and develop a culture of teamwork among staff members.
* Engage heavily with clients, developing menus and recipes that meet their dietary needs and preferences.
* Grow catering and retail businesses connected to our Not-for-Profit organization.
* Maintain controls, budgets, and compliance in the kitchen environment.
Requirements
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery.
* Demonstrable business management skills (formal qualifications or relevant experience).
* Previous experience as a proven chef.
* A passion for delivering quality outcomes for older Australians and an understanding of their unique dietary needs.
* Background in aged care kitchens is highly beneficial.
