As ING embarks on the Leap Strategy, to build the bank of the future, we have opened a unique opportunity to lead and shape ING’s customer experience as the” Domain Lead – Web & Open Banking”. This is a key senior role in the Digital Tribe, reporting to the IT Area Lead, and responsible for execution of the tech strategy for ING Australia’s websites and Open Banking.
It is critical for the successful candidate to foster strong partnerships with their business counterparts. The Domain Lead will work with business stakeholders to translate strategic commercial objectives, into a comprehensive technology roadmap. As a subject matter expert in the web and Open Banking domains, they will use their knowledge and customer-centric mindset to identify gaps and challenges, guiding the development of innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement.
This is a people leadership role. Engineering Chapter Leads report directly to the Domain Lead, who will support their team and instill a growth mindset. Their oversight extends to teams located both in Sydney, and our overseas-based partners.
What you’ll do …
1. Be the primary point of contact for stakeholders within the domain, including business units, internal teams, and external partners.
2. Ensure that business activities within the Domain area comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures.
3. Ensure reliability, security, and performance of critical IT assets within the domain.
4. Oversee system maintenance, lifecycle management, as well as incident and problem management.
5. Build high performing teams with high levels of engagement and effective engineering practices.
6. Manage performance of external suppliers / partners and ensure that contractors and offshore team members share in Ing’s values and way of working.
What we’re looking for…
7. Proven experience in banking / investment technology strategy development and execution in alignment with architecture and other IT functions.
8. Demonstrated experience in leading substantial financial services technology team.
9. Experience in management & negotiation of large vendor commercial contracts.
10. Demonstrated experience working with Technology Risk Frameworks, service management tooling, public cloud technologies and application migration.
11. Experience with Distributed Agile Delivery (onshore/offshore).
