I am seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our clients public practice accounting firm. Main Duties: Bookkeeping: Manage and maintain accurate financial records. Record transactions, balance accounts, and reconcile financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal procedures. Prepare financial reports as required. Admin Support: Handle correspondence with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), including tax-related inquiries and document management. Assist with Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) tasks, such as filing reports and maintaining company records. Client Interaction: Greet clients upon arrival, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Offer refreshments like coffee and tea to clients, contributing to an excellent client experience. Ideal Skills and Experience: Proficiency in bookkeeping software (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks). A sound understanding of ATO and ASIC requirements and Australian tax systems.
