Emerald Hospital, located 300kms west of the Queensland coastline serves a community of about 28,000 people, with 15,000 residing in Emerald itself. It features 36-beds, two operating theatres and employs around 160 staff members delivering acute, community, and primary care services. About the role:
The shift coordinator is directly responsible for providing oversight, leadership, communication, and coordination of nursing/midwifery activities for the shift across the whole Emerald hospital facility inpatient unit areas and nursing services to ensure delivery of safe patient care.
1. Support nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality care in the emergency department, the acute inpatient unit, ambulatory services, perioperative services, and the maternity unit.
2. Manage time effectively, delegate and assign care according to the scope of practice of team members.
3. Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, use initiative, be a coach and clinical teacher, and be skilled in giving constructive feedback.
About you:
4. Mandatory qualification/s and professional registration requirements with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). A minimum of Registered Nurse or Dual Registered Midwife

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:
5. An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
