Job Title: Disability Support Professionals

For those we support, it's all about building their capacity to exercise freedom, choice and control. We work alongside each participant as advocates - to help them maximise and implement all the supports in their plan including informal, mainstream, community, formal and funded supports.
A rewarding opportunity has now become available for highly motivated and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team and to support our amazing clients residing in the Ipswich and greater Region.
Job Summary:
In this position you will be responsible for using the strategies determined in the client's individualized support plan to deliver quality services that are aligned with both client and organisational expectations. You have a passion for promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

- Experience in working in palliative care will be highly regarded
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized care plans in consultation with clients, their families or guardians.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming and toileting.
- Provide assistance with meal preparation, feeding and medication management.
- Encourage participation in social activities to promote social interaction among clients.
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments when required.
- Actively engage with the client to build their capabilities and accomplish their goals.
-Maintain accurate records regarding client's health status.
Qualifications:
-Certificate III/IV in Disability Services highly desirable.
-Prior experience working in disability services and in palliative care is required.
-A current valid driver's license, roadworthy vehicle, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, CPR and First Aid Certificate are mandatory requirements.
The position is remunerated in line with the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Award with classification based on experience and suitability.
