The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our diverse team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver supports, in partnership with families, to help them achieve their goals, using evidence informed best practice.
* Use assessments, observations, and your understanding of child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family.
* Empower families, caregivers, and professionals, helping them build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives using your coaching skills.
* Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in the settings and activities they choose.
* Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals, in the NDIA business system.
* Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood/Education.
* Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
* Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including the implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
