Key responsibilities
:
1. Collaborate with the head chef to create and refine menu items, ensuring quality and creativity in dishes
2. Oversee kitchen personnel, including line cooks and prep cooks, to ensure efficient operation and adherence to food safety standards
3. Prepare and cook food items, maintaining high standards of presentation and flavor, while following recipes and portion controls
4. Regularly check the kitchen's stock of ingredients and supplies to ensure that everything is available when needed
5. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and how to use equipment, creating a supportive and skilled team atmosphere
