Senior Manager Business Lending Product Management
Develop and lead business lending products to support the needs of our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.
The Business Lending team provides a full spectrum of business customers' borrowing needs, from small business customers to large mid-market corporates. Commercial Lending products range from high volume / low complexity offerings through to low volume / high complexity offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop compelling and sustainable customer propositions and manage the product lifecycle through a deep understanding of customer outcomes and needs and connecting them to business objectives.
Reporting to the Executive Product Owner - Banker Assisted Lending, you will be responsible for designing products and maintaining ownership of the end-to-end product systems and processes. You will also be accountable for monitoring product performance, setting or reviewing the product strategy, delivering continuous improvement and risk buy-down initiatives and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations. You will be instrumental in driving the squads focus on 'now' and 'next' of the product value-chain in alignment with your PO, Crew Lead and Crew Tech Lead.
Main Responsibilities Include:
* Define and refine the customer proposition through Voice of Customer, market research and industry analysis.
* Develop and design the features of a designated new product or enhancement to address an identified market need or opportunity.
* Drive customer and business outcomes through deep understanding of performance drivers including customer experience, business performance and market conditions.
* Propose product design changes, seeking the appropriate approvals and delivering those changes to market, including planning and leading the promotional efforts for new or enhanced products.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations through a deep understanding of regulatory environment and management of issues, incidents and control environment.
Requirements:
* 5-10 years' product management experience
* Relevant experience in financial services is desirable
* Customer centric approach to problem solving, ability to analyse and solve complex and ambiguous problems
* Understanding of performance drivers and financial fundamentals
* Strong awareness of regulatory frameworks and operational risk management
* Demonstrated experience in agile delivery
* Capable to singlehandedly drive change embedding to business layers (core change management principles)
* Demonstrated successful change agent with bias to challenge status quo
