THE POSITION In the initial stage of mobilisation, this position will be responsible, with the General Services Manager, for establishing the patient services operations. Lead the day-to-day functions of the PSA Services of the NFH, in a 24/7, acute care hospital. The role will operate from the Hospital Control Room working closely with the hospital operator. All operations must be performed while supporting and promoting the Compass Safety Culture framework. Work with Hospital Operator to ensure patient flows and other operations are working to contractual and optimal requirements. Liaise with clinical staff to understand clinical wards and department pressures for the day and mobilise resources to respond. Point of contact/escalation for service delivery issues. Work closely with the local FM Help Desk Service via Hub Coordinators. Coordinate adjustments to service delivery solution in response to clinical needs. Present Service Delivery Models and attend meetings relevant to PSA services. Attend relevant meetings and control/governance groups. Ongoing oversight of rosters, people and communications strategy – both CGA and client interfaces. Promote strong customer service focus and ethos for self and team. Manage team across clinical areas and hub, including recruitment, training and managing performance. Manage finances within a budget. Enforce a strict safety focused culture. During this Mobilisation phase you will also support with the below: Build site work procedures, documentation, processes and training programs. Assist and develop scenario testing relevant to the commissioning of services at the new hospital. Develop rosters, people and communications strategy – both CGA and client interfaces including safety. Project management and delivery. Present service delivery models and attend meetings relevant to services. Recruit and develop patient services team. Work with the compliance manager in building KPI tools and audits. Understand associated technology requirements for the project. THE PERSON Previous management experience within healthcare with strong understanding of hospital operations and systems is essential. PPP (Public Private Partnership) experience is highly desirable but not essential. High level people and process management skills including the ability to manage a team. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing operational contracts and budgets. PSA/Patient facing experience highly regarded. Sound computer skills.
