About the Personal Support Worker role:
As a Personal Support Worker, you will offer crucial daily living assistance to our clients. We offer flexible shifts to accommodate your availability, including weekends, active overnight shifts, and sleepovers. Your duties will involve:
* Helping with transfers using hoists as required.
* Providing personal care, such as grooming, bathing, and assisting with toileting.
* Performing basic wound care and aiding with self-medication.
* Supporting with domestic tasks like meal preparation and light household chores.
* Assisting clients in accessing the community for appointments and social engagements
About you:
We are looking to employ individuals who are passionate about caring for and supporting people to live independently in their own homes. You will be someone who has an empathetic nature, positive attitude and can communicate honestly and effectively with clients. You treat others with dignity, respect and without judgement and can work independently.
Experience is not required for this role, as we provide extensive training through our Registered Nurses & Key Support Workers.
You must hold:
* Valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
* A smartphone device
* A current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain.
* Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete.
* Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times.
