Finance Business Analyst - Stock Loss (AU Supermarkets)

About the role:
The primary responsibility of this role is to partner with the National Operations Loss Team to provide best practice actionable insights and business performance reporting for Australian Supermarkets as it relates to stock loss. Working within the operations finance team this exciting and unique role will provide you with broad exposure to Supermarkets as your role includes results, insights, benefits analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes along with executive reporting working across a broad range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
* Performance Reporting, Partnering and Insights
* Provide insightful analysis, clear weekly commentary and actionable insights on a department/category and state basis.
* Support and partner with finance teams and our stakeholders with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and analysis assessing trends, variances and key drivers.
* Provide analysis and decision support on topical areas to drive improvement in performance and process.
* Support and lead across key processes including the monthly forecast and annual operating plan.
* Track and report on key initiatives that form part of underlying loss.
* Partner with key operational and finance stakeholders within the Operations Loss Team, Commercial and Replenishment to optimise end to end performance outcomes and decision making.
* Identify and implement opportunities that improve processes across the broader Finance Team.

* Share and drive improvements for team, function and business.
* Drive robust financial processes and strong internal controls across all areas of work.
* Ensure continuous process improvement and lead change to implement these improvements.
* Work across Finance to ensure we have integrity in our underlying systems and data.

* Work closely and have fun with all members of the Supermarkets Operations Finance team.
* Build strong relationships across multiple groups including National Loss Team, Commercial, Replenishment, Group Finance and Stock loss Communities.
* Embraces change and finds better ways to execute on individual and team goals.
About you:
* CPA / CA qualified experience or equivalent experience preferable with multinational FMCG or retail experience preferred.
* Able to communicate complex financial information in a simple manner including presentation and storyboarding skills.
* Sound organisational and effective time management skills including ability to navigate uncertainty, conflicting demands and shifting priorities.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
* Ability to work flexibly and with agility.
* Experienced using and navigating large data sets to support key messages including simplifying the complex within reporting. Advanced financial modelling skills and experience with SQL, GCP and Tableau are preferred.
