The co-curricular Instrumental Music Program, provides students with the opportunity to learn band or orchestral instruments and participate in performance ensembles such as concert bands and orchestras. With over 500 instrumental music teachers and more than 60,000 students, our program is internationally recognised as a leader in the field of instrumental music education.
As an instrumental music teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering our comprehensive curriculum to students across the state. You will work as an itinerant teacher, directing ensembles and teaching mixed instrument groups across a cluster of schools. Applicants for these positions must possess:
1. A degree in music or equivalent
2. A relevant teaching qualification. for further information on teaching qualifications.
3. Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
