About You :
* Bachelors degree in construction or related field
Position Summary :
This role is responsible for ensuring the all steel reinforcing jobs have the required materials, equipment and labour through cost estimations. You will work closely with other stakeholders to ensure the feasibility of the project and adjust any cost estimates where needed. You will ensure a project is delivered within budget and on time.
Key Requirements :
* 3-5 years project management experience working in the infrastructure industry (required)
* {insert years} experience in construction estimation
* Demonstrated ability to determine key variables for cost and other estimates
* Demonstrated experience in reading design plans, developing cost estimates
* Experience gathering accurate information from sites, suppliers and other venues
* Strong knowledge in design, planning and legislative requirements
* Familiarity with financial and project management principles
* Strong understanding of infrastructure construction process
* Has experience building relationships
* Experience using Estimating tool/software
* Confident negotiation skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills
* Persistent approach to time management
* High levels of enthusiasm, energy and resourcefulness
* Excellent planning, organisation and computer skills
* A high degree of accountability and attention to detail
Job Responsibility :
* Managing the operation of projects from conception to planning and execution
* Gather proposals, specifications and related documents needed for a project estimate
* Identify design and constructability issues
* Conduct analysis to determine constructability
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and within budget
* Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
* Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
* Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
* Report and escalate to management as needed
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
* Work in a safe manner and always follow safety rules
