About the role
selectability is looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Youth Worker to join our growing team! Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people who have a variety of needs.
As a Senior Youth Worker you will coach and mentor a team of Youth Workers in meeting a child or young person’s needs whilst promoting cultural safe and competent practice within the program. You will work in partnership with children, young people, family, and stakeholders in building and delivering cultural strength plans. You will bring a genuine passion and commitment to make a difference in the life of children and young people.
About You
To be successful you must:
* possess clear and effective communication skills
* demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
* ability to lead and mentor a team
* exhibit an ability to problem solve
* be able to always follow policies and procedures
* be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals

* flexible to work across a 24/7 roster
Role Requirements
* must have a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognised under the child safety minimum qualification standards, (or willing to actively study)
* possess the certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (ability to obtain)
* a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver’s licence
* a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
* first Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
* a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
