Identity & Access Management Specialist Job Description

About the role
Reporting to the Platform Owner Cyber Solutions (IAM), you will play a leading role in driving the development and improvement of operational efficiencies, including the automation of routine Identity and Access Management activities. Your success in this role will be underpinned by your ability to ensure our users have the right level of access to organisational resources and information, which will be evidenced through various audit initiatives.
The Identity and Access Management Specialist is responsible and will be accountable for the following:
1. Providing technical guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting professional growth, and ensuring alignment with organisational values and goals.
2. Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, business partners, and vendors, fostering effective collaboration, resolving conflicts, and ensuring successful partnerships.
3. Collaborating with the Senior Leader to contribute to the co-development and implementation of IAM plans and goals, aligning with the overall cyber strategy.
4. Ensuring that identity deliverables and configuration are in accordance with our Policies, Standards, Hardening Guides and Cyber Assurance Procedures.
5. Driving technical delivery, maintenance, and support of platforms leveraging the use of workflows, automation, continuous integration and DevSecOps management.
6. Promoting the agile development of IAM capability within the organisation and its various stakeholders.
7. Managing and owning the development of scripts and automation tools used within the IAM ecosystem.
8. Ensuring standards and practices are maintained for source control as appropriate.
9. Embedding identity and access management solutions and controls throughout all phases of project delivery.
10. Continually working towards making improvements in the release process.
11. Driving operational change management activities relating to the portfolio.
12. Providing rmendations and support for initiatives needing sponsorship through the Cyber Demand Management and Prioritisation process.
13. Proactively identifying risks and rmending actions to avoid, mitigate or accept risks. Promoting a sound risk culture by routinely analysing, avoiding, mitigating, or accepting risks.
14. Reviewing and understanding industry best practices as related to the role, ensuring where appropriate theernance and strategy are uplifted and maintained accordingly.
About you
We're looking for someone with a key eye for detail and data quality, and who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. It's also critical that you present strongmunication skills with the natural ability to collaborate and engage with others for the purpose of driving continuous improvement.
You must also be able to demonstrate the following:
15. Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management concepts and technologies including, identityernance, access control, authentication, and authorization.
16. Demonstrated experience integrating corporate applications with cloud based identity solutions Okta, Entra ID.
17. Strong knowledge of authentication standards (, SAML, oAuth, OIDC).
18. Demonstrated experience in implementing automation solutions, identifying opportunities to improve process improvement through automation.
19. Scripting experience for use with automation, reporting and other functions. PowerShell and API scripting knowledge essential.
20. Strong operational awareness and knowledge of PAM concepts and technologies
21. Previous experience deploying a PAM solution across an organisation Delinea Platform.
22. A sound understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.
23. Familiarity with information security standards and best practices (, ISO 27001, NIST)
24. Familiarity with regulatorypliance requirements such as CPS234
25. Familiarity with IAM best practices and frameworks such as NIST Digital Identity Guidelines SP 800-63-3.
26. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
27. Strong analytical, problem-solving, andmunication ski
28. Certifications in Okta Essentials and/or Microsoft SC-900 will be highly regarded.
