The Delivery driver's responsibilities involve Loading & unloading, delivery and pick-up, reporting, operations, service, safety and maintenance, and other duties as assigned by management.
The truck driver will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the company and a favorable image of the company.
Delivery and pickup involves making deliveries and pick-ups in the most efficient, economical manner possible.
Safety and maintenance involves delivering safely, following regulations, and safely operating and maintaining the delivery vehicle.Key Requirements : Experience working within a warehouse environment Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs Knowledge of state transport regulations.
Competent driving skills Skill to maneuver large vehicles on highways and traffic routes Knowledge of vehicle and all its parts Good Observation skills Good problem-solving and analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills Planning and organising Attention to detail To enjoy practical and manual activities The ability to work as part of a team To be able to follow written instructions Job Responsibility :Ensure that all Policies and plans are adhered to at all timesLoad and Unload Trucks in efficient and safe mannerDeliver product to and pick up product from specified locationsEnsure delivery dockets are made out prior to loading or deliveryDevelop and maintain an organized and efficient loading and unloading systemUnload according to customers requestsVerify all items loaded and deliveredCommunicate safe storage and handling procedures to delivery pointsSubmit trip report to supervisor dailyFill out trip report completely and accuratelyCheck lights and safety equipment dailyObey all traffic laws, including: driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs, Drive defensivelyReport any unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisorAllow no riders who have not been approved by your supervisorFollow the regular vehicle maintenance schedule provided by your supervisorMaintain a log of their activities, condition of the vehicle and any cases of accidentsAny other duties that are requestedJob Functions :DriversJob Benefits :Be apart of a proactive growing company and energetic team Selling Point :Delivering reinforcing Steel and associated productsContact :Ian Phillips
