Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the simulation delivery across the Faculty of Health Sciences in a part-time (0.5 FTE), continuing permanent opportunity!
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the efficient operation of our new store facility. The Store Assistant will work closely with the Store Coordinator and play a key role in inventory management, purchasing, and ensuring compliance with university policies. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, inventory management, and support for equipment maintenance.

In this role, you will, but are not limited to:
Manage inventory effectively, conducting regular stock takes and assisting with the purchasing of consumables to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Ensure that storage facilities are properly maintained, and that all delivered goods are checked, catalogued, and secured following University policies.
Adhere to procurement procedures to obtain supplies at favourable prices, ensuring quality and timely availability.
Comply with occupational health and safety requirements in storage practices and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed, along with any other relevant tasks.
Selection Criteria
Educational Background: Completion of Year 12 and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to perform minor repairs on a variety of equipment, demonstrating hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Committed to providing exceptional, client-focused service to all stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to effectively navigate and resolve challenges in high-pressure situations.
Computer Proficiency: Proficient in a range of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and email, ensuring efficient and effective information management.
Safety Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe work environment for all.
Desirable Criteria
Experience using an on-line resource booking management system
